These Terms of Service govern your use of the Brevum website and the Brevum iOS app. Brevum is provided by Infral Labs LLC. By accessing or using Brevum, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app or service.

Description Of The Service

Brevum is an informational tool that helps adults understand official documents such as Medicare notices, insurance letters, hospital bills, benefits letters, and similar paperwork in plain English.

The app reads photos, images, and PDFs on your device first using on-device text reading and PDF text extraction. To create an explanation, Brevum may send extracted document text to the Brevum backend and to OpenAI through the secure Brevum service after consent.

The app does not require a sign-in or named user account. It stores saved explanations and preferences locally on your device while also using limited server-side anonymous service and quota records to manage sessions, usage limits, rate limits, and subscription entitlements. Those anonymous records are based on random technical identifiers rather than your name, email, or a traditional personal account.

Brevum explanations are informational only. They are not professional advice. Contact the sender of the document or a qualified professional when a decision matters.

Brevum may help explain what a document appears to say, but it cannot guarantee that a document is complete, current, accurate, legally valid, covered by insurance, payable, denied, approved, or safe to act on.

You remain responsible for your own decisions, including whether to call the sender, pay a bill, file an appeal, share information, or take another action. When a decision matters, use the official phone number or website from the document or sender and consider contacting a qualified professional.

Your Responsibilities And Acceptable Use

You agree to use Brevum lawfully and responsibly.

• Submit only documents you have the right to scan, attach, photograph, or review.
• Do not upload unlawful material or use the app in violation of applicable law.
• Do not use the service to harass, threaten, defame, or invade another person's privacy.
• Do not interfere with the app, misuse the service, bypass usage limits, reverse engineer service protections, or attempt unauthorized access.
• Do not treat Brevum output as a substitute for the original document, the document sender, official sources, or qualified professional advice.

Document Processing Authorization

To provide explanations, Brevum may send extracted document text, Brevum service profile identifiers, and request metadata to the backend and to OpenAI for processing. Before your first explanation, the app asks you to confirm that this may happen.

By using Brevum after that disclosure, you authorize Brevum to transmit extracted document text for processing on your behalf so the app can generate a plain-English explanation. If you do not want a particular document's extracted text sent for explanation, choose not to send that document.

Subscriptions And Billing

Brevum includes 5 free scans to start. Brevum Premium is $4.99 per month and currently includes 50 document scans each month.

If you purchase a subscription through the iOS app, Apple handles billing, payment collection, renewals, cancellations, and refund processes under your App Store account terms. RevenueCat may be used to help manage subscription and entitlement status, and the backend may verify entitlements server-side before granting Premium access.

Pricing, included usage, trial offers, and renewal terms displayed in the app or in the App Store at the time of purchase are part of your purchase terms. You are responsible for reviewing those details before subscribing. Deleting the app or deleting your Brevum service profile does not cancel a subscription.

Service Profile Deletion

Settings lets you delete the Brevum service profile and active sessions used for explanations. Deleting the service profile does not cancel Apple subscriptions and does not remove saved explanations, onboarding preferences, the ask-before-sending choice, or other local settings from your device.

Brevum may retain limited quota, subscription, rate-limit, and service-protection records after service-profile deletion where needed to prevent abuse, enforce free and Premium scan limits, preserve active Premium access, resolve entitlement or billing support issues, and support service security. Those retained records are technical records and are not intended to include your original document files or saved explanation history.

Privacy

Brevum's Privacy Policy explains what the app and service collect, how document explanations are processed, how local data is stored, how privacy-focused product analytics and crash diagnostics work, and what records are retained after service profile deletion. Intellectual Property

Brevum, including its software, design, branding, text, and related materials, is owned by Infral Labs LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use the app and website for your personal, non-commercial use.

Availability And Accuracy

The secure Brevum service, on-device text reading, PDF extraction, purchases, network connections, Apple services, RevenueCat, Railway, OpenAI, and other providers may sometimes be unavailable, delayed, or produce incomplete results. Always refer back to the original document.

Brevum may change, pause, limit, or discontinue parts of the app or backend service. Usage limits, included scans, Premium scan limits, and feature availability may change over time.

Disclaimer Of Warranties

Brevum is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Infral Labs LLC disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, and availability.

Brevum does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that it will correctly explain every document or identify every important detail, deadline, amount, requirement, or limitation.

Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Infral Labs LLC and its affiliates, officers, employees, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, business opportunity, device content, benefits, coverage, payment, or claim rights arising out of or related to your use of Brevum.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Brevum's total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid for Brevum in the 12 months before the claim arose.

Termination

Brevum may suspend or terminate access to the service if you violate these Terms, misuse the app, create legal risk for Brevum or its service providers, or if the product is changed or discontinued.

You may stop using Brevum at any time. Subscription cancellation is handled through Apple's subscription tools.

Governing Law And Disputes

These Terms are intended to be governed by applicable United States law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.

Until Infral Labs LLC designates a specific state and venue in an updated version of these Terms, any dispute arising out of or relating to Brevum that cannot be resolved informally will be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction in the United States. If mandatory consumer-protection law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere, this section does not limit those rights.

Changes To These Terms

Brevum may update these Terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will post the updated Terms here with a revised effective date.

Your continued use of Brevum after updated Terms take effect means you accept the revised Terms.
